Case Studies
SHREDDER HOPPER FEEDER/CANOPY
Our client requested the replacement of both the shredder hopper feeder and the canopy due to years of wear and breakdown. After the careful removal, transport and disposal of the original structure, we manufactured a brand new hopper feeder and canopy to replicate the previous ones and install over a long weekend and completed within an intensive 4-day turnaround. Our clients were more than happy as the works were completed without any need for shut down during working hours as the nature of the business heavily relies on being operational 24/7. We ensured that a test run has been completed to ensure full working functionality.

BOILER HOUSE WALKWAY
A much needed walkway upgrade/replacement carried out. After a partial collapse of the existing walkway, SRL were bought in for the urgent strip down and re-build of the suspended walkway which includes new supporting frames and durbar floor plates. All works had to be carried out on site due to the severity of the collapse as this is a main passageway and fire route for the building.

18T GRAB BUCKET REPAIR

An emergency call had been made by our client on a Friday afternoon as their 18T grab had smashed apart during routine works in our clients waste yard. We collected and bought it back to the workshop to investigate the damages. After re-constructing the body and adding additional strengthening plate and welds we were able to deliver the attachment back the following Monday morning
BOUNDARY WALL ERECTION

Our clients boundary wall had been deemed unsafe and needed urgent attention for replacement. After careful planning and consideration we were able to manufacture and install a new secure boundary wall with minimal disruption to ongoing works around us.
FISHING BOAT RUDDER RE-MANUFACTURE
Here is an example of what we can achieve over one weekend when responding to an emergency call-out. We were called out to a Marina in Hampshire after a fishing boat had lost its rudder at sea making it impossible to steer the boat. We got straight onto site to measure and design a replacement. All in, this project was completed within three days ensuring the boats downtime was kept to a minimum.

CALL OUT REPAIRS
We have a couple of examples here of client call outs, the first two images showing our clients needing for us to repair the stainless steel magnet drum avoiding any warping to ensure smooth rotation and processing of material. The last two images are showing a grab repair, where the join had sheared losing mechanical use of the grab. This was repaired within a couple of hours to ensure minimal down time.

STEAM PIPE RE-MANUFACTURE

We were called out to this project to address a problem the client had after installing a new steam washing system, as you can see by the photographs the existing pipework didn't line up with the new inlet. We were able to take out that section, re-design, fabricate and install a new pipe to suit.
